It's a Blog, Tim, not the Domesday Book

A growing number of bloggers take blogging far too seriously. With this post, Tim Ireland proves that he's one of them. So today I'm going to suggest a job swap: Tim can set up home outside Parliament and Brian Haw can edit Bloggerheads.

I agree, UKDP, whole-heartedly. On the specifically Guido q, I still agree, with the caveat that Guido is not just broadcasting his prejudices, like most of us, but actively campaigning to a wide readership. If, one day, one of his posts brought down a Minister, say, we'd expect it to be posted in good faith. I think the anti-Guido crowd are basically saying that he isn't doing that. I am not sure at the moment that it isn't just people opposed to Guido politically stirring, but I'd be happy to be corrected.

But for most of the rest of us - it doesn't matter what we post or say. The blogosphere is a global chat, a worldwide whinge, and we don't have the responsibilities one would have in print journals because we are quite open about our blogs being personal rants or collections of views.

And blogs aren't democratic.

I think Tim is trying to earn a place in the Guinness Book of Records for the blogosphere's longest rant. talk about starting a flaming war!

There is still room for a little fun and mischief in life, surely?

Drop by Curly's Corner Shop, the blog!

Dizzy has a good post which sums up the long-winded million word leftist bloggers perfectly.
